Yolanda Minor

I am an Assistant Principal at Hayward High School. I was the Youth Intervention Specialist at Mount Eden High School. I have over twenty-three years of experience working in primary and secondary education. I have been an English teacher at Mount Eden High School for the past three years. Although I have primarily been an English teacher, I also have experience working with students in the following areas: Restorative Justice, English Language Development, and Social-Emotional Learning. I graduated from Cal State Hayward (now CSU East Bay), where I played Division 2 basketball and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies and a minor in English. Then I obtained my Single Subject teaching credential from Holy Names University. In 2017, I then earned my Masters of Arts in Teacher Leadership, and in 2018 I received my Preliminary Administrative Credential from Saint Mary’s College of California. Go Gaels! In 2018 I participated as a speaker on a panel for Teacher Leaders for the California Teacher Summit. I have also been an assistant coach on the men’s basketball team at both the high school and collegiate levels.  #Respect the Farm!
