The College Bound Brotherhood explicitly focuses on connecting African American male students to college readiness programs and improving school district resources. The aim of the College Bound Brotherhood is to increase the number of African American young men from the San Francisco Bay Area who successfully complete college. Brotherhood students, frequently, participate in 1 of 14 community-based organizations that provide college readiness and persistence services. These CBOs work together under the auspices of the Brotherhood to share best practices, celebrate achievements, and advocate with districts for better policies and outcomes for African American male students. College Bound Brotherhood students attend universities, colleges, including many Historical Black Colleges and Universities, across the United States.
